Jabalpur City Level Workshop

Jabalpur became the first Indian city to launch a Play Masterplan – Jabalpur Khel Plan - on 9th May 2025 in a city convening organized by Jabalpur Municipal Corporation (IMC) and Jabalpur Smart City Limited (JSCL) as part of the Nurturing Neighbourhoods 2.0 program. The convening brought together multi-sectoral stakeholders towards devising strategies for making Jabalpur a young children and caregiver friendly city.

The Khel Plan envisions to make Jabalpur a playful city for all by 2037, offering safe, green, accessible, and inclusive play opportunities within 500 meters of every neighbourhood. The masterplan will help the city to systematically scale public spaces through coordinated action on part of local communities, NGO’s, Civil Society Organizations, and government stakeholders.
