India Smart Cities Conclave 2023
The India Smart Cities Conclave 2023, organized in Indore and attended by representatives of 100 smart cities, saw cities exhibiting their projects. The Smart Cities Mission leveraged this opportunity to create a display of good practices from various cities and create life-size prototypes of street side public spaces.
The MoHUA-led Nurturing Neighbourhoods Challenge (NNC) showcased the different ways in which the ten winning cities of the challenge - Bangalore, Hubbali-Dharwad, Indore, Jabalpur, Kakinada, Kochi, Kohima, Rourkela, Vadodara, and Warangal have scaled young children and caregiver-friendly public spaces. The pavilion also displayed a sample of the multi-heighted seating units crafted in a carpentry workshop in Indore, these urban elements, such as seating for caregivers and play elements for children were made using repurposed wood.
